Canadian Appliance Recycling Enterprises Inc. (CARE)

Portal terms

Effective September 30, 2026

These are the rules for using the Canoe member portal run by Canadian Appliance Recycling Enterprises Inc. (CARE), the Canoe approved supplier for residential appliances under contract CAN-2026-004-CAR. CARE's office is at 220B Lesmill Rd, Toronto ON. By creating an account or using the portal you agree to them.

Who can use the portal

The portal is for employees and authorized representatives of organizations that are members of Canoe Procurement Group of Canada. Accounts are personal: one person, one login. Do not share your password. You are responsible for what is done with your account, and you must tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.

Estimates are indicative

Prices shown in the catalogue and in a draft estimate are indicative. An estimate becomes a firm offer only when the CARE Canoe team has reviewed it and sent it back to you as priced, and it stays valid for the period shown on it. Availability, freight and taxes are confirmed at that point. We correct obvious errors (for example a misplaced decimal) before an order is placed.

Pricing is Canoe contract pricing

All pricing is set by CARE's contract with Canoe Procurement Group of Canada. You do not need to run a separate tender to buy through the portal; the Canoe contract was competitively awarded. Admin fees owed to Canoe are already included and are reported by CARE.

Orders, purchase orders and payment

An order is placed when you accept a priced estimate and, where your organization requires it, attach a purchase order. Payment terms, delivery terms, returns and warranty are governed by the Canoe contract and by the invoice CARE issues for the order. Nothing on this portal changes those documents.

Files you upload

Only upload files your organization owns or has the right to share, such as your own purchase orders or a quote addressed to you. Do not upload files containing other people's personal information beyond what the order needs. We may remove files that break this rule.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access another organization's information, probe or overload the portal, or use it for anything other than Canoe program purchasing. We keep a log of sign-ins and changes.

Suspension

CARE may suspend or close an account at any time if these terms are broken, if the organization's Canoe membership ends, or if the account is inactive. Suspending an account does not cancel orders already placed.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the portal available but do not guarantee it. If the portal is unavailable, email [email protected] or call 1-833-CARE-APL and we will take your request by hand. CARE is not liable for indirect losses arising from portal use; liability for a delivered order is set by the Canoe contract and the invoice.

Privacy, law and changes

How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. We may update these terms; continued use after the date shown at the top means you accept the updated version.
